NEWS AND UPDATES

We’re proud to announce that our 8th album, Here In The Mountains, will be making its way into the world on August 2nd, everywhere you listen to music. This was a very unique and special process where we were able to record in our Baltimore home and had the honor of working in collaboration with a friend to help share his origin story. These songs are meant to be interpreted and are not just about the details of one life. This album was written with the hope of expressing gratitude for what we’ve been given, to find the silver linings deep within our personal history of clouds and how it’s possible for us to find our sense of place in the world because of the people in which we surround ourselves.

With the exception of the last song, as well as inviting our friend Alex Lacquement to lay down some upright bass, we played every instrument on this album which was super fun (Kagey on mandolin, electric AND acoustic guitars - yes please! Laura on the snare drum, what??!!) There are six new original songs, two previously recorded songs and one final instrumental piece at the end. You can purchase the album digitally through our Bandcamp page or come to a show and pick up a physical copy.

Thank you for all of your support and we can’t wait to play this new music for you!

Love and Light, Laura and Kagey

TOUR DATES

ABOUT

Virginia natives, Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish of The Honey Dewdrops began touring in 2009 and have called the city of Baltimore home for over 10 years. They released their newest album, Here in the Mountains, in August 2024 - a batch of songs written and inspired by the origin story of a close friend.

Through many years of playing music together, Laura and Kagey have continued to expand their experimental folk sound of electric and acoustic guitars, mandolin and clawhammer banjo with tight vocal harmonies, while maintaining a commitment to deepening their understanding of the world through the lens of songwriting and music. No Depression says of their 2022 album, Light Behind Light, “The Honey Dewdrops have a way of filling their songs with humanity, using their beautiful playing and harmonies to emphasize what connects us all.”
